I had planned to post this yesterday, to release in conjunction with a blog that I had written for the Save the Cat! website; however, the tragedy in Aurora inspired BJ to post a beautiful tribute to his hometown cinema. It’s a lovely post; I hope all of you read it. We’ll be back on schedule next week… but his decision to delay was the appropriate thing to do.
Princess Scribe will have a slightly different flavor over the next few weeks. A couple of months ago, a project that I created along with my partner Geoff Reeves was greenlit by Cindi Rice and Mark Kern of Red 5 Studios.
The project, INTERGLOBAL TRADING FUND, tells the story of THIRTEEN. Thirteen is an employee of the shadow operative conglomeration known as the Interglobal Trading Fund. He’s a hit man – who travels through time to take out men and women targeted by various governments and corporations, for endless reasons. In this pilot, Thirteen finds himself faced with a most unusual assignment…
Pre-production is in full swing; we’ll be casting next weekend, and into production in August. We have an incredible team coming together for ITF. I’ll be blogging about the ins and outs of indie film production, and what it is like to make the leap from writer to director. It’s one thing to write a project, another to work with a partner, and yet another to helm up the production. I’m never happier than when I am working with actors and pages, and am looking forward to yet another adventure.
I hope you’ll follow the journey.
Now, go write.
HRH, Princess Scribe

Sounds interesting. I wish you good luck with the production and it later success. I just finished producing my first film that I had written, “Home from War,” and would be happy to share my experiences (pitfalls and opportunities).

You should start a blog! Would love to hear your experiences. I documented some of mine for Film Courage: http://filmcourage.com/index.php?q=content/going-indie-takes-courage
As well as the project site: http://theyliveamongus.com/2011/08/
Hope you do the same! I’d follow it! The joys of no budget film – nothing like it!
