I received the sweetest of gifts on Friday. After my morning workout, I logged onto Twitter to discover that Princess Scribe had been named Script Magazine’s screenwriting website of the week.
To say I was astonished would be a massive understatement. Script is one of those iconic publications for the screen scribe and the filmmaker; I discovered it well over a decade ago while living in Oklahoma. I ravenously devoured each and every issue. I look towards it for guidance and words of support. I respect this publication.
It’s been a long, difficult journey towards my dream of writing and directing for the screen. I still have so far to go, and, as I see myself as a perpetual student of storytelling, for the learning never stops, there is still so very much to learn. The day I stop learning is the day I stop. Onward and hopefully upward.
So, thank you, Script Magazine, and thanks to your amazing tribe of people. I am honored and touched. You always make me want to be a better writer.
